Overview

Polling place vote tripling (PPVT) advantage is that it cuts through the clutter of turnout texts and meets voters where they are. Our studies have shown that the average well-trained volunteer or staffer can generate about 18 relational voter contacts per hour at a polling location. This rate is much better than what one would experience with GOTV canvassing or phone banking.

Our tick sheet creates an accountability mechanism for a volunteer. From our experience, having less than 10 asks or three to six yeses per hour signals a need for a change in location or volunteer approach (depending on the traffic of the polling location). We recommend downloading and customizing our sheet, so that your volunteers will have a way to gauge their success in real time.
